IntroductionWelcome to the dedicated home for the development of the Wap-2-Go Mobile Content Management System (CMS) Portal. A simple 'all in the box' solution for webmasters wishing to provide dynamic content to mobile users. Fully customisable to your own design, or simply use pre-designed themes to style your mobile portal. Wap-2-Go is a mobile website that can be accessible on mobile phones, PDAs and other mobile devices, generated 'on-the-fly' from your site content. Customisable User Preferences allow a bespoke fit to any device and allow disabling of images by users to reduce their bandwidth/traffic (useful if charged per Kb by their provider). The use of Themes also allow easy styling of your mobile portal. Wap-2-Go is fully WML (WAP1.1) and xHTML (WAP2.0) compliant. WML is the standard mark-up language for mobile devices; whilst xHTML (WAP 2.0) allows more advanced styling - giving your site an even more impressive look. CMS is short-hand for "Content Management System" - this is a system that allows you to simply enter data and content rather than having to manually write or "code" your website. So no knowledge of PHP, HTML, WML or other coding is required. Your content is stored on a database on your server and accessed when requested by your users.
If you run any website using a "nuke" database you can simply install Wap-2-Go on your server - a very simple procedure - and give your users instant access to your content whilst on the go.
Alternatively, if you currently have no website, but are looking to provide a multi-platform website (meaning it will be accessible both on the web and on mobile devices) I will soon provide a full distribution of Wap-2-Go which also incorporates the web-based element. In the meantime, if you are looking to start a website you can use distributions of Nuke such as "PHP-Nuke" or "Ravensnuke". Simply install the main nuke distribution and then install Wap-2-Go once you have setup your site.
Nothing! You can't complain at that can you? All I ask is that users can donate towards development of this project - please bear in mind that this is taking a huge amount of my time and I do have to pay for this website. To donate please click here
Simple! Simply register (for free) on this site to obtain access to our downloads. Download the latest distribution and follow the simple instructions provided to install Wap-2-Go on your server. Please remember to check the Releases Forum to find out about the latest releases.

I have received numerous requests from visitors to extend compatibility of Wap-2-Go onto platforms other than PHP-Nuke.
I would like to extend compatibility without slowing development of Wap-2-Go itself as we are reaching some major milestones in development with most, if not all (?) major issues fixed and some large developments coming into place - including user verification and member functionality.
However, in the meantime, please do vote in our new poll to let me know what CMS platforms you would like to see supported.
Please Note: This is mostly a fix for the image caching problems in v0.86 - where users where unable to disable the image caching featuring - resulting in PHP error messages on certain server configurations.
Change-Log:
Wap-2-Go v0.86 Released 7th October 2007
Please Note: If you get image errors, this is due to the image caching feature - please ensure (mobile)/includes/cache directory is writable or disable caching from your Wap-2-Go Control Panel.
Development of Wap-2-Go continues well with further bug-fixes and updates coming your way.
